NJHS ANNUAL BOOK DRIVE FOR LIGHTHOUSE MINISTRIES
By Claire MacLeod
Southwest Middle School NJHS recently held a book drive for Lighthouse Ministries. This is the third year NJHS has held this book drive to benefit our local community. Students were asked to bring in gently used books to their first period classes. The first period class with the most books collected received a donut and juice party! Books were collected weekly and NJHS members counted and boxed them up. This year, 935 books were donated, which is double what was donated last year! The top three classes raised 425 books all together! We are very proud of our Southwest students and encourage them to donate even more books next year and to keep giving to the community.
